Lots of wind and heavy rain made for a nice slog through the trails today. I did manage to keep the pace in check, although I don't know how I would have done otherwise sloshing through a slick muddy trail on the downhills. For the first mile or so I actually tried avoiding the huge puddles, but after a while I said the hell w/ it and splashed right through.
It was actually kind of fun. The only issue was trying to see clearly enough to avoid the potholes on the trail, but I managed OK. Also, I ran in the shoes I want to use for tomorrow's long run (they have the most cushion of all my shoes) and they're a big time mess at this point. I'll have to see if I can clean them up and dry them off enough for tomorrow.
Training:
Sat, 11/1: 5-miles @ 7:19 pace (HR-150)

If you like running in the wind and rain you should move to Ireland - we've got plenty!! Best of luck with the hard week ahead....
